Mars Square Pluto.
Somethings gotta give...
May 25th, 2026 at 8:56 PM PST
Mars 5°25 Taurus | Pluto Rx 5°25 Aquarius
This is an explosive transit; the kind where pressure has been building underground for a long time, and eventually, the earth has no choice but to crack open.
Mars entered Taurus on May 18th, 2026. Pluto stationed retrograde at 5° Aquarius on May 6th, 2026. By the time they meet in a square on May 25th, Pluto is still freshly retrograde, still potent, still dragging old material back to the surface. This isn’t just pressure from the outside world. This is the pressure of something buried, unfinished, and tired of being ignored.
Mars is desire. Anger. Action. Hunger. Sex. Ambition. The instinct to protect what is ours. In Taurus, Mars isn’t impulsive in the usual way. It doesn’t strike quickly and move on. It holds. It waits. It clenches its jaw. It remembers.
Pluto in Aquarius, meanwhile, is not interested in comfort. It’s interested in power: who has it, who hides it, who manipulates it, and who is finally ready to take it back.
This square is the moment two forces refuse to cooperate. Neither one wants to yield. Neither one wants to blink. So something has to give.
Fixed Energy, Fixed Star Activations.
Mars at 5° Taurus sits close to Caph at 5°07 Taurus, a fixed star in the chair of Queen Cassiopeia. This gives Mars a throne-like quality. This is not anger for the sake of drama. This is the part of us that knows our worth, knows where we belong, and is no longer willing to be pushed out of our seat at the table.
This is pride, yes - but not just ego. It’s dignity. The need to be respected. The refusal to be moved by pressure, guilt, fear, or someone else’s power play.
But Mars is also moving between Sharatan at 3°49 Taurus and Hamal at 7°40 Taurus, which gives this transit a more primal edge. Sharatan carries themes of danger, injury, defeat, violence, and hard-earned honors. Hamal brings force, brutality, and the strange paradox of the healer. So this square is not our mind on autopilot with a, “Let me circle back with a thoughtful response.” It’s the anger of survival. The anger of exhaustion. The anger that comes from having your boundaries crossed one too many times.
And yet, Hamal’s healing signature matters. This is not only about destruction. It is about what happens when rage finally has somewhere useful to go. When anger stops eating you alive and starts telling the truth. When the body says enough, and this time, you actually listen.
While Mars in Taurus is reacting from the body, Pluto in Aquarius is thinking three moves ahead. That is what makes this transit so charged. One part of the sky says, I will not be moved. The other says, I already know where the weak point is. Something has to give.
Collectively, this is the anger that builds after people have been patient for too long. It is the frustration of rising prices, unstable housing, underpaid labor, exhaustion, food insecurity, environmental strain, and the quiet, constant realization that we cannot keep living like this. This can show up as economic pressure. Money, wages, labor, markets, food systems, land, housing, and resources become flashpoints. Taurus wants safety. Aquarius wants systems, networks, progress, and the future.
If this is progress, who gets the upgrade, and who gets sacrificed to build it?
That is the real question under this transit. Who pays for the future with their body, their labor, their land, their rent, their nervous system. What happens when the systems promising security become the very things people need protection from. Aquarius wants the future. Taurus wants to know who is bleeding for it.
It gets personal.
Personally, this transit can feel like your desires are being blocked or the thing you desperately want is suddenly tangled up in power, fear, control, or consequence.
You want peace.
You want money.
You want pleasure.
You want loyalty.
You want to feel safe in your body and in your life.
But this transit may reveal where you have been trading authenticity for security. Or where you have been trading your peace for approval from a group, a partner, a platform, a friend, a workplace, or a future version of yourself you think you are supposed to become.
Because Taurus is so physical, this may live in the body before it makes sense in the mind. Jaw tension. Neck tightness. Throat pressure. Appetite changes. Exhaustion. Stubbornness. Sexual intensity. Anger sitting in the chest. A deep need to get grounded before you say something you cannot unsay. The body may know before the mind does and thats part of the medicine.
It’s the strength to name the desire without being consumed by it. It’s the moment you stop outsourcing your power. It’s the moment you realize that peace built on self-abandonment was never peace! And because Mars is also working with the lunar nodes, this square is not just pure chaos. Mars in Taurus sextiles the North Node in Pisces and trines the South Node in Virgo, giving this volatile transit a deeper meaning.
The lesson is to act from intuition, not anxiety. Build something real, but do not let perfectionism, panic, or fear run the show. It’s less panic, more prayer and devotion.
With Mars squaring the Leo–Aquarius Vertex axis, and Pluto sitting near the Aquarius side of that axis, this can also bring encounters, confrontations, creative risks, and/or social turning points that feel catalytic. Someone may push a button. A group dynamic may show its shadow side. A desire to be seen may reveal where you have been performing instead of creating.
Are you trying to be seen, or are you trying to be validated by people who cannot truly see the real you? Start creating from the heart and stop performing for the algorithm.
Mars square Pluto reveals the difference between real power and performative control. Real power doesn’t need to manipulate. Real power doesn’t need to force the outcome. Real power is fueled by desire, honest about fear, and still devoted to the highest good of all.
Signs Most Impacted + Horoscopes
The Fixed Signs: Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, Aquarius
Especially if you have your Sun, Moon, Rising, Mars, Venus, Mercury, MC, IC, North Node, South Node, Vertex, or personal planets within 3°–8° of fixed signs.
This transit is volatile, and its intensity will continue building through the Full Moon in Sagittarius. Move with awareness, choose your words carefully, and proceed with caution. Read for your rising sign first, then your Sun sign.
Aries Sun and Rising
Your money, self-worth, and sense of security are under pressure. This transit asks where you’ve let other people’s opinions, social media, friend groups, or community expectations influence what you charge, what you want, what you keep, and what you tolerate. A friendship, audience, network, or long-term goal may be costing more than it gives back. Pay attention to where you feel financially or emotionally drained just to stay connected, relevant, or approved of. You don’t need to prove your value to be chosen. You don’t need to undercharge to be liked. You don’t need to keep investing in spaces that make you question your worth. Your worth is not up for discussion.
Taurus Sun and Rising
This one may feel personal because it is! Your body, identity, anger, and sense of self are all being activated. At the same time, career pressure or public expectations start to intensify. You may feel like people are watching you, questioning you, or waiting for you to prove yourself. But not every challenge requires a performance. Not every opinion deserves a response. Sometimes power looks like staying steady when everything around you is trying to pull a reaction out of you. You don’t need to prove that you’re strong. You need to trust that you already are.
Gemini Sun and Rising
Something internally is asking for your attention. It could show up as exhaustion, irritability, resentment, avoidance, or the urge to just chill in bed for a while. You may also be questioning a belief, plan, travel plans, or new direction that once made sense but now feels too tight. Don’t force yourself to stay loyal to an old truth just because it once helped you survive. Rest is not failure. Space is not avoidance. Your body and your dreams may be telling you what your mind has been trying to outrun.
Cancer Sun and Rising
Friendships and group dynamics may feel more complicated than usual. You may start noticing who takes too much, who expects access to you, or who only shows up when they need something. This can also bring up issues around money, favors, secrets, jealousy, or unspoken expectations. Pay attention to the connections that leave you feeling drained, obligated, or subtly controlled. You don’t have to keep being available just because people are used to you being generous. Your softness is sacred, but it still needs boundaries.
Leo Sun and Rising
Career and relationships may be pulling on each other. A partner, client, collaborator, or significant person may challenge your goals, your authority, or the way you are showing up publicly. You may realize that someone close to you is not as supportive of your growth as they say they are. Or you may need to stop letting relationship tension pull focus from what you are building. This is not about choosing ego over love. It’s about noticing when keeping the peace is quietly costing you your purpose.
Virgo Sun and Rising
Your daily life may not be making enough room for the bigger life you want. You may be craving more meaning, freedom, knowledge, spiritual depth, or even a new direction. However; your current routine may be too packed, too draining, or too controlled to support it. Productivity is not the same as fulfillment. A life can look organized and still feel lifeless. Pay attention if your body is tired of the life your mind keeps defending.
Libra Sun and Rising
Desire, intimacy, money, and control may feel a bit tangled right now. You may want something SO badly and that isn’t the problem. The question is whether wanting it brings you closer to yourself or pulls you away from yourself. You don’t have to shame the desire. You just have to tell the truth about it. Is it opening your heart, or is it making you spiral?
Scorpio Sun and Rising
Relationships may bring up old wounds to the surface. A partner, client, or close connection could trigger something tied to home, family, childhood, or emotional safety. This could manifest as a disagreement and it’s not about what was said today. It may be touching an older fear: being abandoned, controlled, exposed, dismissed, or unsafe. You can protect yourself without trying to control the other person. You can set a boundary without turning the whole relationship into a battlefield.
Sagittarius Sun and Rising
Stress may show up through the small things: work, health, coworkers, errands, pets, emails, texts, or just the daily grind that keeps demanding more from you. Your words may be sharper than usual, especially if your nervous system is already overloaded. Before you send the text, make the call, or turn a minor irritation into a full argument, pause. The issue may not be the one annoying thing in front of you. It may be the fact that your body has been running on pressure for too long.
Capricorn Sun and Rising
You may want something that feels risky, expensive, inconvenient, or even emotionally exposing. You may also realize how much of your identity has been built around being responsible, useful, disciplined, or in control. Joy is not a waste of time Desiring something does not automatically equate to irresponsibility. Sometimes wanting something reminds you that you are alive, not just productive.
Aquarius Sun and Rising
This one hits you at your roots. You are changing, but your home, family, past, or living situation may still be pulling you into an older version of yourself. Old survival habits or emotional patterns may flare up. You may need more space, more privacy, more honesty, or stronger boundaries with people who expect you to stay the same. You don’t have to keep performing an old role just because it makes other people comfortable. You are allowed to become someone your past does not recognize.
Pisces Sun and Rising
Your words have weight right now. Conversations and daily interactions may feel more charged than usual. Something you have been holding in may come out quickly. That may be necessary, but make sure you are speaking truth, not just releasing pressure onto whoever happens to be nearby. This is powerful for journaling, therapy, and honest conversations. It’s not the best moment for impulsive texts, vague posts, or saying the thing just to make someone feel what you felt. Tell the truth. Don’t weaponize it.
Move with caution, protect your peace, and let the Square reveal what needs your attention, not your reaction.

Mar Alejandra✨
